Sex Therapy in San Diego
A compassionate space to reconnect with yourself, your body, and your relationships.
Intimacy & Sexuality
Sexuality and intimacy are deeply personal parts of who we are, yet they can also be some of the hardest things to talk about.
You may be experiencing pain during sex, differences in desire, difficulty connecting with your partner, anxiety around intimacy, or the lasting impact of sexual trauma. Or perhaps nothing feels clearly "wrong," but you know you'd like to feel more connected, confident, and comfortable in your sexuality.
I provide sex therapy in San Diego and throughout California via telehealth for individuals and couples navigating concerns related to intimacy, sexuality, sexual functioning, desire, trauma, and relationships.
My approach is compassionate, trauma-informed, and nonjudgmental. Together, we'll explore what's happening beneath the surface and work toward a relationship with sexuality and intimacy that feels safer, more authentic, and more fulfilling.

Vaginismus, Vulvodynia & Painful Sex
Sex should not be something you have to endure.
Pain during penetration or sexual activity can affect far more than your physical experience. It can create anxiety, fear, frustration, shame, avoidance, and disconnection from your body or partner.
I work with clients experiencing vaginismus, vulvodynia, painful intercourse, and anxiety surrounding penetration or sexual activity. Therapy can help you explore the emotional, relational, and nervous-system components that may be contributing to your experience while developing a greater sense of safety and connection with your body.
When appropriate, therapy can also complement care from pelvic floor physical therapists, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
Healing From Sexual Trauma
Past sexual experiences can continue to affect the way you experience your body, relationships, trust, boundaries, pleasure, and intimacy.
For survivors of sexual trauma, intimacy may bring up fear, disconnection, shame, anxiety, or physical responses that feel difficult to understand or control.
Therapy offers a space to process these experiences without judgment and at a pace that feels manageable. My approach integrates trauma-informed therapy and, when appropriate, EMDR to help you process painful experiences, strengthen your sense of safety, and reconnect with yourself and your sexuality.
Libido & Differences in Sexual Desire
Intimacy After Having a Baby
Differences in desire are incredibly common in relationships—and they don't necessarily mean something is wrong with you or your relationship.
Stress, parenthood, relationship dynamics, trauma, medical changes, body image, emotional connection, and many other factors can influence sexual desire.
In therapy, we can explore what's affecting desire without placing blame on either partner. The goal is to create greater understanding, improve communication, reduce pressure, and develop a more collaborative approach to intimacy.
Becoming a parent can change your relationship with your body, sexuality, and partner.
Changes in desire, exhaustion, physical recovery, pain, body image, shifting roles, and the demands of caring for a baby can all affect intimacy. Therapy can provide space to navigate these changes without pressure and find ways to reconnect that feel realistic for this stage of your relationship.
